The selection and interviewing process for the #shkëndija program 2024 has concluded with the acceptance of seventeen activism initiatives. These selected activism initiatives will receive support through specialized knowledge and mentoring during their implementation.
The seventeen activists, coming from various regions across Albania, participated in an inaugural workshop focused on Activism and Advocacy. This workshop marked the beginning of the #shkëndija program, which is designed to facilitate the exchange of experiences, knowledge, and mentoring.
During the workshop, participants were introduced to key concepts in activism and advocacy, including how to narrow down the problem, define key activities, and analyze stakeholders and the overall situation. Attendees came from diverse locations such as Tirana, Durrës, Maliq, Korçë, Bulqiza, Kruja, Gjirokastra, Mati, Lushnja, and Fieri. Notable alumni Rigers Beqiri and Anxhelina Kano also joined the session.
The workshop equipped participants with practical skills for implementing their initiatives and will be followed by study visits to public institutions and civil society organizations to further enhance their learning and impact.
